MESSAGE FROM FR ADRIAN
Dear Friends
I am having a routine hospital procedure this week and have been advised to take two weeks to rest and recover. I am grateful to the Franciscan Friars at Woodford and the La Salette Fathers who will be covering Masses during this time.
If you are seeking a priest in an emergency, please call one of the local parishes, either in Epping – Tel 01992 572516, or the St. Thomas of Canterbury Friary at Woodford Green – Tel: 020 8504 1688. Please also consult those parishes if you would like to go to Confession whilst I am on sick leave.
The Parish Office will continue as normal for administrative enquiries from mid-morning until early afternoon on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Please keep me in your prayers and know that you remain in mine.
God bless you all
Fr. Adrian

All are welcome. After the service everyone parades back to our church hall for soup and cake .Please do try and join us for this important day.
If anyone would like to bake or make a soup to donate, they will always be gratefully received.
* All cakes and soups must have an ingredients list; Thank you!
Please note that Fr. Adrian will be leaving straight after Mass for this service.
MASSES FOR OUR DECEASED FRIENDS AND RELATIVES IN NOVEMBER
During the month of November, we remember those who have died in a special way. We support them with our prayers and Masses, that the Lord will bring them quickly into the fullness of his presence.
There are envelopes available at the back of the church for Masses for our deceased loved ones. Please fill in the names of those you would like to pray for on paper and enclose it in the envelope with any offering you would like to make. Please then post your envelope through the presbytery door. A basket with the envelopes will be placed by the altar at Masses from 2 November for the whole month.
ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL
Please take a look at Cardinal Vincent Nichols’ pastoral letter about the forthcoming Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults Bill to be debated in parliament. Here is a link to the Cardinal’s thoughts and some resources to use to oppose the bill.
TO ALL PARISHIONERS
This year is the 40th anniversary of the Brentwood Catholic Children’s Society. As a fun way of supporting the great work of BCCS, our two choirs for this year adopted a cuddly bear mascot, and we occasionally put some money in a collection box for the benefit of BCCS. You may also remember that, earlier this year, parishioners kindly contributed to our collection. Fr. Adrian has kindly agreed that we can have another parishioner collection after the masses on 16th and 17th November and we’ll be shaking the box in the church porch (if cold!) or outside. Any contribution from you, small or large, will be much appreciated. Thank you very much!
VOCATIONS EVENING FOR ENQUIRERS
