LENT NEWS

Stations of the Cross this week is on Friday after the 9:30am morning Mass.

We will be joined by pupils from St. John Fisher School.

Everyone is welcome to attend, but if you are working from home or in town, why not make a special effort to attend and walk with Our Lord on his way to Calvary. This beautiful devotion grew out of imitations of the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, which is a traditional processional route symbolising the path Jesus walked to Mount Calvary. The objective of the stations is to help the Christian faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage contemplating the Passion of Christ.

LENT EVENTS & TALKS

Monday 31 March 7:30pm – Talk – Why go to Confession? A talk by Fr. Adrian on the beautiful Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Church Hall followed by Confessions from 7:30.  A number of priests will be available.

Sunday 6 April 4pm – An hour of Ignatian meditation and prayer in the Church Hall

LENTEN LUNCH AFTER STATIONS OF THE CROSS

There will be a simple Lenten meal of soup and crusty bread following the 12.15pm Stations of the Cross on Friday 11th April. Please do join us in the hall for some beautiful homemade soups provided by the newly formed parish SVP.
