The trustees of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Multi Academy Trust are seeking governors to support the leadership of the schools they serve.

Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Multi Academy Trust consists of three Catholic schools

  • St. Albans Catholic Academy in Harlow,
  • St Luke’s Catholic Academy in Harlow
  • St John Fisher Catholic Academy in Loughton

Active governance supports the Catholic community and Catholic education in a variety of ways, most importantly it can have a significant impact by raising the quality of educational provision in our schools, which in turn ensures our children have a rich and full life, growing as ambassadors our Catholic faith.

We are particularly seeking governors who can support the schools using their professional qualities, such as leadership and management, finance and HR.

Being a foundation governor in a Catholic school is very rewarding, and a great way to live out your faith and serve your local community. It is also an opportunity to learn new skills which can have a positive impact on your own learning and professional development. If you are interested please email Clerk@ourladyoffatimatrust.essex.sch.uk to arrange a meeting, or visit our website https://www.ourladyoffatimatrust.essex.sch.uk/ for the governor application / nomination form.

Billy-The-Dog’s” Essex Adventure for Christian Aid Week 2024: Billy is getting really excited about his fundraising for Christian Aid: lots of bouncing up and down and tail wagging when we chat about it. This year he will be exploring ancient country churches in Essex, and also barking at rabbits. He will visit a different church on each day in Christian Aid Week, 12-18th May, starting with the oldest wooden church in Europe: St. Andrews Church, Greensted. Iain and Billy will be around after masses next weekend if you would like to sponsor Billy, or you can go through JustGiving by searching for “Loughton Christian Aid” and making a donation. If you do that please mention Billy in your comment, he loves that.

CALLING ALL EX-ST EDWARD’S PUPILS FROM UPTON PARK:

On 5th February 1973, Bobby Moore, Captain of England and West Ham United, had this photograph taken with 99 pupils of St Edward’s Roman Catholic Primary School. The photograph was a memento of the incredible achievement by Bobby Moore in playing 100 games for England. This iconic image was taken in the playground of St Edward’s, just yards from West Ham’s stadium and shows Bobby Moore and the children, arms folded, each of them wearing an England cap.

If you were one of the children in the photograph on that historic day, 51 years ago, we would love to hear from you, as we would be delighted to find out about your memories from that wonderful day.

Please contact Paul Underwood, Head Teacher, St Edward’s, at
