Thank you for your generous response to CAFOD’s Harvest Fast Day Appeal. Your donations are helping families like Waré’s in Ethiopia. CAFOD’s local partners worked with Waré’s community to build an underground water tank that now provides safe water for 300 families. Your support will help more communities have better access to safe water. Find out more about Ware’s story here: cafod.org.uk/harvest

November will soon be upon us….and in our Catholic tradition it is a month of particular remembrance of the deceased members of our families, friends and loved ones. As is customary we will place brown envelopes at the back of the church in which you may place the names of those who you will wish to remember in a particular way  this month of the Holy Souls. The lists will be placed by the altar at all Masses from Holy Souls Day onwards.

CAFOD: Response in Gaza

Your donations to Gaza since the start of the conflict have been a vital lifeline. Right now, CAFOD’s partner, Caritas Jerusalem, is delivering essential medical treatment to displaced people and providing medicines to treat chronic illnesses. We have helped 1,400 households with cash to buy supplies in the last month and we are currently feeding 2,000 people with new stocks of flour and rice. Despite the restrictions on aid coming into Gaza, CAFOD’s local partners are working tirelessly to help people. And with your ongoing support, they will do all in their power to keep doing so. You can find out more about how you can make a difference in Gaza at cafod.org.uk. Thank you for backing our work through holding collections for our Family Fast Day appeals and for continuing to pray for peace in the Middle East.
