SECOND COLLECTION – There will be a second collection for Day for Life after the masses this weekend.
CONFESSIONAL
The confessional in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel will be undergoing some work over the next few weeks to make it fully compliant with Health and Safety, and to make it a more attractive and prayerful space for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
JUBILEE YEAR – Pilgrims of Hope: FORTY HOURS OF EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – ‘QUARANT ORE’ – will be celebrated at the Cathedral parish of St Mary & St Helen, Brentwood commencing with Mass at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday 26th June and concluding at 5.45 p.m. on Saturday 28th June. NOTE FOR OUR CONTEMPORARY MUSIC GROUP
We will next be playing and singing at the 11am Mass on Sunday, 6th July and having a practice beforehand on Monday, 30th June- 7 to 8pm.
We hope you can all come to the practice as well as the Mass – it really does help to practice as the psalm and other music sounds much better with rehearsal! We look forward to seeing you all there and we would of course welcome any new singers or musicians who may consider joining us. Thanks.
LEADBEATER ASSITED DYING BILL

A Catholic Bible convention and Healing ministry on Saturday 21st June 2025 from 1.30 pm to 5 pm led by Fr. Jijo George and Anointing Fire Catholic Ministry UK at Catholic Parish of Christ The King, 455 Chingford Road London,E4 8SP. Convention includes: Praise and Worship, Holy Mass, confession, Healing service and Eucharistic Adoration, spiritual sharing, sessions for children (www.afcmuk.org). Free car parking available.
SICK & RETIRED CLERGY FUND
On 22nd June there will be the annual collection for the Sick & Retired Clergy Fund of the Diocese. The fund helps Clergy who require assistance in their retirement after years of service, it also helps those who are in ill health at any age.
This is also an opportunity to thank Parishioners who have bequeathed legacies in their wills and we would welcome any who are about to make, or review existing arrangements, to consider this worthy cause. The Administrators of the Fund would also like to express their gratitude to the families of deceased Parishioners who have gifted legacies in the past.
ST THOMAS OF CANTERBURY SUMMER CONCERT
This year is on 28th June, 7.45pm. The evening is a mixture of orchestral and choral music that includes Bach (Double Concerto), Parry (I Was Glad), Vaughan Williams (Fantasia on Theme of Thomas Tallis), Karl Jenkin’s Adiemus, Elegy for Dunkirk and the amazing Libertango.
