This valuable fundraising initiative raised a record-breaking £95,000 nationally last year, enabling the Society to turn concern into action and provide practical support to those facing loneliness, isolation and the daily struggles of poverty in all its forms.

Tickets will be on sale after each Mass through SVP volunteers at £1 per ticket or £5 per book.

The draw will take place on 24 September 2026, with prizes including £5,000 (1st prize), £1,000 (2nd prize) and 15 prizes of £100.

Parishioners who wish to sell tickets to family, friends or colleagues are very welcome to do so; please speak to an SVP member so we can record the allocation of books and ensure everything is processed correctly. All counterfoils and money must be returned to the SVP head office by

First Holy Communion Programme Registration Forms

One of the most important things we learn as disciples of Jesus is that he calls each of us into a deep and loving friendship with him. One of the greatest gifts he gives us to nurture and strengthen that friendship is the Eucharist, where we receive Him in Holy Communion. In our parish we begin preparing children for this special sacrament in Year 4 (ages 8–9), helping them to grow in their understanding of God’s love and in their relationship with Jesus.

Registration forms for our First Holy Communion programme are now available at the back of the Church for children in Year 4 and above (minimum age 8). The closing date for applications is

30 September 2026. Please take a registration form  and return it to the parish office by this date.

We ask that you also provide a copy of your child’s baptism certificate when submitting the form.

There will be a meeting for parents in November, and our formation sessions will begin during Advent as we journey together towards this important milestone in your child’s faith. We are very much looking forward to accompanying our children and families through this year’s programme as we help guide our young people in growing closer to the Lord. Over the coming months, we encourage you to begin talking with your children about Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist and what it means to receive him in Holy Communion. It can also be a wonderful opportunity to share your own memories of your First Holy Communion and reflect together on what the Eucharist means in your own life of faith.

If you have any questions, then please contact Fr. Adrian.

Gift Aid Envelopes

There are still many envelopes that have not been collected. If you no longer require envelopes, please let us know at the Parish office 0208 5083492. If envelopes are not collected, we will assume they are no longer required. Thank you for your co-operation.

Lifts To Mass:  The SVP would like to hear from parishioners who might need a lift to Mass. If you call/voice message the office 02085083492, or email: loughton@brcdt.org, and leave your details, the SVP will try and help.

Gift Aid End of Tax Year Statements

If you are a member of the Gift Aid scheme and provided an email address, you will have received your statement by email. If we do not hold an email address for you, please check the envelopes at the back of the church. If you can share an email address, that would help reduce the effort and cost of generating the statements.

If there are any discrepancies in your statement or you have not received an email or envelope, please let Abbie know via email at giftaid-loughton@brcdt.org or by text/phone call to 07754700934 including your gift aid number.
