FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (C)

6th July 2025- 13th July, 2025

DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS will be on Sunday 13th July at 3pm in the Church.

All are welcome. Confessions are available afterwards.

SECOND COLLECTION: On 12th & 13th July, 2025 there will be a second collection after the masses for STELLA MARIS-SEA SUNDAY.

This is the day in the Church’s year when it prays and collects funds for all those who live and work at sea. Seafarers and fishers play a vital role in all our lives, but they often work in difficult, hazardous conditions. Your support will make a big difference to seafarers and fishers in need.

Many parents enjoy using the room at the back of the church if children become restless. There are toys and children’s books to keep children occupied as well as a speaker so that the Mass can still be heard and followed.

CONFESSIONAL

The confessional in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel will be undergoing some work over the next few weeks to make it fully compliant with Health and Safety, and to make it a more attractive and prayerful space for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

ST EDMUND LIFE GROUP MEETING

The next meeting takes place in the upper room (The Retreat) of the Parish Centre on Monday 7th July, 2025 7.15 – 8.45pm.

Please keep this date in your diary.

Any questions please ring Paul 07861 032174

FOOD BANK DONATIONS

Over the summer when all children stay at home, the costs of food are felt even more by families that are just about managing, or for those that work, the continuing need of childcare with the costs incurred. Many rely on Free School Meals during term time and are left without anything in the holidays- a stark reality that many families rely on those meals for their children’s main meal of the day. Let alone the added stress of being able to afford new school uniform for the September. The box for food donations is in the parent and baby room (to the left as you enter the church). Thank you very much for all your donations.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE SICK

Evelyn Bearne, Karl Britz, Brenda Bryant, Bernadette Hall, Ann Hawkes, Claire Howes, Angela Long, Lilian Mothersole, John McKernan, Remy, Geraldine Taylor, James Wright, Pamela Gibson, Geraldine Stains, Linda Moriarty, Victoria Leahy, Jean Collins, Barbara Searl, Lyn Povey, Mason Family, Peter Wright  and all our loved ones who are unwell.
