LOURDES COLLECTION:

This Sunday the second collection is for the Diocesan Lourdes Fund.  Thank you for taking this collection.  In recent years, this fund has enabled us to subsidize nurses, doctors, and helpers so that we have the team we need to support all our pilgrims, especially our assisted pilgrims.  The Fund also allows us to fund pilgrims, who otherwise would not be able to join the pilgrimage.  If you have a parishioner, who may need help to join the pilgrimage, please e-mail Kathryn Young or Suzanne Reeves at

CONFIRMATION PROGRAMME:

Important Message for Confirmation Candidates

Our first Confirmation session will be a day of recollection at Aylesford Priory on Saturday 24 February.  We will travel by coach at 8am from the church car park and expect to return around 5pm.  It will be a day for us all to get to know each other as well as spend some time in prayer and reflection.  Please confirm you are attending by emailing loughton@brcdt.org by Wednesday 7 February.

BAPTISMS: If there are parents wishing to have their children baptised at St. Edmund’s please could you kindly contact your parish priest Fr Adrian Lowe as soon as possible. For first time parents there is a Baptismal Programme run by Mrs Sharon Chalk.  Baptisms take place on Saturdays at 12.30pm

ALTAR SOCIETY:

HELP SUPPORT THE EPPING FOREST FOODBANK:

The Foodbank is reaching out to the local community for any help they can give, so if you are able to support them, please drop an item or two into our plastic collection boxes (in Father Adrian’s garage), we will then do the rest and deliver it to the Foodbank.

HCPT EASTER LOURDES VOLUNTEERS WANTED:

Are you, or do you know anyone who is 18 – 30 years old and would like the opportunity to travel with The Brentwood Group on Pilgrimage to Lourdes this Easter? HCPT Group 709 are an all-adult service group who are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals to join us between 1st-6th April 2024 in Lourdes to help facilitate an unforgettable week for disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the world. YEAR 12 Retreat ‘Life to the full’: Walsingham House are running a retreat for students in Yr12 on the weekend of the 16th-18th February. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other young people from across the diocese, to make new friends and to take time out from their busy lives to reflect and pray.
